As of September 1, 2024, we are hiring: Two trainees for the profession of clerk in retail (m/f/d)

What does a clerk in retail (m/f/d) do?

As a clerk in retail (m/f/d) you are the good soul of a business and the number 1 contact when a customer needs advice. You advise customers and take care of the presentation of our range of cigars. You also do accounts and order goods. Upon delivery, you check whether the delivery is complete and the quality of the goods is top-notch.

What does a retail clerk (m/f/d) learn during their training?

A wide variety of products need to be presented, sold and reordered. You will learn that step by step. Soon you will hardly need any help and you can give competent advice in our Zechbauer house or in the Cigar Lounge. The dual training itself lasts three years and during that time you also attend vocational school. Subjects such as German, math and accounting are on the schedule here.

What qualities should I have?

With a good secondary school leaving certificate, you already have the best chances of getting an apprenticeship. In addition, openness, friendliness and respect in dealing with customers and colleagues are essential.

Salesman (m/f/d)

As a salesman (m/f/d) at Zechbauer you will take care of our customers with heart and soul. You advise the clientele competently and take care of the presentation of our extensive cigar assortment. It would be ideal if you burn for cigars yourself. 

All other usual tasks – such as invoicing, ordering goods, checking the quality of the delivery, shipping the articles ordered online – are also part of your job. 

You will be employed alternately at our headquarters, the Zechbauer-Haus in the Residenzstraße, or at the Cigar Lounge in the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in the Maximilianstraße in Munich.
