The Perdomo 30th Anniversary Maduro Epicure is all about dark intensity and ripe sweetness. The deep black, shimmering Maduro wrapper, aged for 15 years in bourbon casks, combines with the full-bodied, mature Nicaraguan filler tobaccos to create a dense, opulent flavour profile. On the palate, a sweet and spicy richness unfolds, featuring dark cocoa, toasted coffee and a hint of bitter almond, which linger in the long, rich finish.
The origins of Perdomo cigars
Hardly any other name in the world of premium cigars combines artisanal precision, family values and a living heritage as impressively as Perdomo Cigars. The story began in San José de las Lajas, Cuba, where Silvio Perdomo perfected his craft in the 1930s at legendary factories such as Cuesta y Cia, H. Upmann and Partagás. His son, Nick Perdomo Sr., continued this tradition until political upheavals forced the family into exile.
With courage, determination and an unshakeable belief in their craft, the Perdomos ventured a new beginning in the USA. From a garage in Miami, where Nick Perdomo Jr. rolled "Nick’s Cigars" in the early 1990s, one of the most impressive success stories in the modern cigar world unfolded. Today, the Tabacalera Perdomo in Estelí, Nicaragua, ranks among the country’s most significant and modern cigar manufacturers.
Extended fermentation processes, careful ageing and, in some cases, bourbon-cask-aged wrappers give Perdomo cigars their characteristic depth, balance and exceptional consistency. The special significance of this life’s work was recognised in 2025 with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from Cigar Journal – one of the industry’s highest honours for Nick Perdomo.
