The AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf Robusto features a nicely smooth and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. They are tobaccos grown under direct sunlight, then harvested complete with stalk and hung for drying.
The tobacco thus develops a forceful flavour profile with dominant notes of spice and earthiness. Over the course of smoking, a subtle and delicate sweetness arises. Combined with citrus notes and roasting aromas, it is reminisceint of chargrilled meat. The cigar increases in strength the longer it is smoked. While it starts out medium strong, the last third is full and packs quite a punch.
