According to the German Youth Protection Act, since April 1st, 2016, we have been obliged to check whether the customer is of legal age before each order.

Accordingly, the following applies: "Tobacco products and other nicotine-containing products and their containers may neither be offered to children and young people by mail order nor given to children and young people by way of mail order business." (§ 10 Abs. 3 JuSchG).

Furthermore, the rule applies that "other alcoholic beverages or foodstuffs containing other alcoholic beverages in more than negligible quantities [may] neither be supplied to children and young people nor may their consumption be permitted" (§ 9, Abs. 1.2, JuSchG).

We support the protection of minors 100% in Germany by making every effort to ensure that young people under the age of 18 cannot shop with us - even if this does not make it easier for our adult customers to order. 

This law only affects customers ordering from Germany.

Age verification:

This is how we ensure it.

In our online shop we only sell our products to adults and we have each purchase confirmed by entering a date of birth. From now on, the age will be verified during the ordering process and during delivery by DHL. Minors may then no longer accept parcels from us.

Order process:

What we check:

We have to check whether the person ordering the cigars is of legal age. For this reason, we will ask for your identity card number before ordering. All data is encrypted and transmitted to us and checked.

We are not allowed to fulfill your orders without verifying your age.

Attention: If you order as a guest, this check is due with every order.

Customer Account:

You have advantages.

We will save the successful age verification in your password-protected customer account. Your age is therefore only checked once.

You will be spared this additional step for all future orders.

Delivery:

What the DHL courier needs to do.

According to the protection of minors, we are obliged to ensure that our packages are only handed over to adults. Therefore, the DHL courier must carry out an age check on you. 

If you cannot identify yourself or are not at home, the package will be forwarded to the nearest post office for collection.

Accordingly, we can unfortunately no longer offer delivery to packing stations.
