Standing against a bull with nothing but a cape and a blade is a show of courage and defying expectations. In the same spirit Litto Gomez created his cigars. Courageously experimenting with bold shapes, the flavour of his cigars is standing up to scrutiny of aficionados world round.
The "Andalusian Bull" can be seen as springing from the legacy of the "Chisel", an groundbreaking figurado and a classic of La Flor Dominicana. The bull is a also an unusual cigar, which the Spanish creator rolled from Dominican tobaccos by using an old Belgian mold. Topping the blend of is a Ecuador Corojo wrapper.
The design of the ring and packaging is an ode to Gomez' home. Sporting a font modelled after Picasso's handwriting, the lush green of the Andalusian flag and, of course, the scrollwork and picturesque silhouette of a matador.
Much like its namesake, the bull charged straight to the top of cigar charts, topping of Cigar Aficionados "25 Best Cigars of 2016" and scoring a magnificient 96 points. The magazine describes it thus: "First impressions are bold and savory with strong notes of hickory and leather. But it continues to take on a complex spiciness of saffron and cumin as well as a slight tangy note that brings the strength and spice together quite gracefully—and it only gets better with every puff."
