"Concours des Meilleurs Connaisseurs" means "competition of the best connoisseurs" in French, and the Concours series truly does not need to shy away from this competition among the best when it enters the ring with the most renowned cigar brands.
The series originated in 2008 – the year of Laura Chavin's 10th anniversary – and at that time already gave cigar lovers the anticipation of a very special treat. In the 2019 edition, the series is presented in the two formats Robusto and Diadema and uses the best tobaccos from the Dominican Republic for the filler, wrapper and binder – a real Dominican Puro.
Somewhat stronger in flavour than the Classic Line cigars, it nevertheless remains harmoniously mild and also corresponds here to the exquisite Laura Chavin character, which combines complexity of flavours with a special finesse.
