Punch Short de Punch

Punch is one of the oldest brands of Habanos. Don Manuel de Lopez of Juan Valle & Co. founded this brand in the mid-19th century with a view to the profitable UK market. There a satire magazine celebrated great successes at this time. A satisfied Mr. Punch, the clown who represented the magazine, is still standing on each box with a cigar in his hand. His portrait is surrounded by illustrations of cigar production of the 19th century, which survived virtually unchanged for a century and a half.

After ceasing Punch cigars in recent years, Habanos S.A. again released a new format in the standard range of the brand. Its name is "Short de Punch" and it has the dimensions of a slightly shorter Robusto: 120mm length with a ring gauge of 50. This format is so far unique in the range of Habanos and at the same time the cigar with the largest ring gauge in the range of the brand Punch.

The production name of the format is "Paraísos" (in English: paradise). The tobacco blend is medium, matching the typical Punch brand. The cigars are made from a selection of the finest tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo, the home of tobacco, considered one of the best in the world. The noble longfillers were manufactured after the method "totalmente a mano" exclusively used in Cuba until today.
