For the Limited Edition 2022, Davidoff's master blenders have embarked on a flavor discovery journey, creating a place where the boundaries of fire, earth and water blur and the best of all three elements come together. A place they could only find with great imagination. Where the sweetness of Escurio, the intensity of Nicaragua and the complexity of Yamasá merge into a unique, unimagined pleasure experience.
In the Limited Edition 2022, tobaccos from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua come together for the first time in an amazingly harmonious blend. For the cigar enthusiast, this means an El Dorado of flavors that stimulate previously undreamed-of regions of the palate.
This edition is limited to 13,500 boxes worldwide (including 750 boxes for Germany).
Taste
The Limited Edition 2022 Blend particularly emphasizes the oily tobaccos of the Black Band Collection, which produce complex, intense and unique flavors. The Gran Toro cigar combines the sweet and spicy Brazilian tobacco, the fiery bittersweet Nicaraguan tobacco and the complexity of the tobacco from Yamasá in the Dominican Republic. The generous ring gauge of the Gran Toro cigar allows for a larger amount of the country-specific tobaccos from the Black Band Collection in the filler. This in turn reduces the influence of the Ecuadorian wrapper on the flavor, making the blend even more balanced.
Optics
The 12 cigars come in a dark wooden box. The logo combines the three Black Band Collection lines. The color combination and the symbols shaped after tobacco leaves give clues to the tobaccos used for the blend and symbolize the discovery of a new harmony.

- ESCURIO: Refreshing cocktails such as whiskey or rum sours that add a tart dimension to the pairing.
- NICARAGUA: The cigar harmonizes wonderfully with the caramel and spice flavors and creaminess of rum.
- YAMASÁ: A barrel-aged single malt whiskey that rounds out the cigar's flavor experience nicely with its full-bodiedness and depth. An equally exciting pairing partner would be a multi-origin blend rum that highlights the diverse cigar flavors of leather, coffee and cedar.
