The Grand Cru series is the successor of Zino Davidoff´s originally in 1946 launched Château series. Realizing the mutuality of wine and cigars, this was the inspiration for Zino to create this cigar line. The designation "Grand Cru" still is a distinction used worldwide for first quality wines. The Davidoff Grand Cru distinguishes itself by the blend of three different filler-tobaccos and thus can be compared to a Bordeaux Meritage wine, which is a blend of various grape varieties.
For the complex blend of the Grand Cru a variety of carefully selected leaves are used to create a woody, nutty and slightly spicy blend. Perfectly completed by a subtle earthy and sweet Notes. Not to forget about the characteristic creamy finish Davidoff is known for. The Toro is, until the very last puff, a pleasantly surprising, utterly charming cigar.
Pairing-suggestions: Since the Grand Cru line has more spicy and peppery flavors, the beverage should show the same character. A smooth red wine such as a Pinot Noir or a fruity Chardonnay But also a Café Latte or a Morning Glory Fizz Cocktail perfectly accompany the cigar.
